Classic Characters Come to Life at Temple Theater
ALICE in WONDERLAND Family Matinee Saturday 10/19
LUFKIN, TX. Some of childhood’s favorite characters will come to life on the Temple Theater stage Saturday, October 19, at 2:30 pm in the family matinee of ALICE in WONDERLAND. This adaptation of the classic tale will delight the young and young at heart with ingenious scenery, costumes, and a dash of puppetry. Family Matinee tickets for the hour-long show are $5 for kids and $10 for grown-ups. Presented by Angelina Arts Alliance, ALICE in WONDERLAND and the entire 2013-2014 Family Matinee Series is sponsored by The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy and Jordan Family Dentistry. 2013-14 Season Sponsors are Lufkin Industries, Inc. and Memorial Health System of East Texas.
Humpty Dumpty, The Queen of Hearts, of course The Rabbit and more will thrill the youngsters, as they take Alice on an imaginary journey without leaving the comfort of her father’s library. Faithful to the unbridled humor and madness of the original tale, this adaptation pays homage to reading – as each book on the library shelf becomes a door to the next adventure. ALICE in WONDERLAND is ideal for ages 6-11, but fun for all.
