American docking right on the Temple Theater stage! This revival of Cole Porter’s classic tale is sure to deliver the same joy, exuberance, and laughter that it did on the original opening night back in the 30s! On record as one of the greatest musicals in Broadway history, ANYTHING GOES makes a TWO-DAY stop on the Angelina College campus. This will be the fourth stop for this saucy, splendid new national tour. Winner of three 2011 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, this fun-filled tale will charm you. ANYTHING GOES is proudly presented by Angelina Arts Alliance, and is sponsored by the T.L.L. Temple Foundation. This nostalgic yet freshly tooled Broadway revival will take the stage at the Temple Theater on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 pm with tickets ranging from $32-$43 (Premium/Box $48). As the S.S. American heads out to sea, two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love aboard a hilarious ship filled with a crew of singing and dancing sailors, exotic disguises, and some good old-fashioned blackmail. Expect lots of laughs, and one of musical theater’s most delightful scores ever, featuring some of Cole Porter’s beloved classics such as “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “It’s De-lovely,” and of course, “Anything Goes.”
